Lest there were any doubts left about the existence of a remaining viable independent Republican party, this new article from MSN ought to take care of any misconceptions, not that we believe any existed. The Republican party no longer exists. The MAGA party, which isn’t a party, it’s Trump, is the only viable alternative to the Democrats. The Trump party is insane enough to need “special voting rules” to even come close in elections. Too close.

According to Michael Bender’s new book, Jared Kushner made the point very clear to Rhonna McDaniel last year and the ultimatum came over… what else? Money:

“I don’t give a f— about the future of the Republican Party!'” Kushner reportedly told McDaniel in the lobby of the Trump International Hotel in Washington, DC. Fox News on Tuesday published excerpts from the book, “Frankly, We Did Win This Election: The Inside Story of How Trump Lost,” by the Wall Street Journal reporter Michael Bender, out next Tuesday…

The Trump campaign was, however, more than happy – indeed, demanding – to take over the entire fundraising apparatus of the GOP:

“…By 2020, the RNC wasn’t merely an extension of the Trump campaign,” Bender reportedly wrote, adding that Parscale, the campaign manager, “had effectively turned them into a full partner, and Ronna had become one of the president’s closest advisers. The RNC was paying for the field staff. They were covering costs for state directors who couldn’t get calls returned from campaign headquarters. Even the lease for the campaign headquarters was being paid for by the RNC,” Bender wrote, according to Fox News…

The Trumps always find a way to get other people to pay for their stuff. Always. It allows them to retain personal control of their own money, never having to risk their own skin. They wanted control without risk and were in a position to demand it from the RNC.

“… Jared wasn’t interested,” the excerpt says, according to Fox News. “‘I don’t give a f— about the future of the Republican Party!’ he told Ronna inside the hotel meeting room. ‘Good to know,’ Ronna shot back. ‘I will be running for chair for a second term, and I will make sure you don’t come anywhere near this!'”

By “this” she was talking about the “Winred” fundraising apparatus. McDaniel’s job was to look out for the Republican party in the field, in Congress, the Senate, all that. Jared’s job was to gather all money and power under Trump’s name and let Trump decide who gets what, almost surely based upon loyalty. Put it this way, we do not believe that Sen. Mitt Romney will be getting help from the RNC during his next election.

It is Trump’s party because it’s always Trump first, second, last, and America itself, along with the Republican party, isn’t in the picture.
