There are two ways to take this speech, one is to mock it mercilessly and pass out in laughter or recoil in terror. Because she gave her speech over a long weekend in summer, we’re going with the former, but reserve the right to change our reaction at any given point. Representative Lauren Boebert of Colorado just delivered what history will remember as the most beaversh*t insane speech any politician ever dreamed of making. She just made Louis Gohmert sound like Thomas Jefferson.
Boebert, wore a 9 mm at her side, the one that God meant to insert as the 9th commandment, and said that she and her constituents are “an army for everything that Jesus has purchased for us and our children, and our children’s children.”
Those of us who have done some reading about Jesus don’t recall him purchasing much of anything, even wine or fish, certainly not firearms in case the Romans become tyrannical, and we don’t think he wanted an army, at least not the type that Boebert wants.
“There are two nations created for God’s glory – Israel and the United States of America, We stand strongly with Israel.”
Actually, the United States was created as one of – if not the first – country to reject any religion in government. It was created for glory of the citizens (even if done miserably). It is sort of written out very clearly that this nation was not created by or for God. Israel was created out of the world’s failure to prevent the worst Holocaust in modern history.
“We will not back down until we have everything God has promised us.” Now that sounds like a fight between Boebert and her God, because the United States is not standing in the way of anything God promised her. It might be standing in the way of what she promised God, but that’s her issue.
“It’s not a coincidence that Independence Day is on a Sunday this year.” Who wants to be the first to tell her that Christians worship on Sunday as a compromise with the Pagans (Whom the Christians were converting), the Pagans’ spirituality was more tied to nature. The Christians moved a day ahead of the Sabbath, and held their services on Sun day, the holiest day to the Pagans.
“It doesn’t matter who is President; we serve the almighty King. Trump has not given up and he will not give up.” So who is “King”? Is it God or Trump? Or is there a difference?
Boebert even said that Trump left the presidency looking the same as he went in, whereas most presidents age. She said it was the anointment of God.
Yeah, but, most presidents spend the entire time stressed about the fate of the nation, most presidents serve eight years, most presidents don’t use professional makeup artists, most presidents don’t wear suits so big that one can’t really see the weight gain and if Trump was anointed by anything, it was Kentucky Fried Chicken.
Most insane political speech ever. Gohmert, move over, man. You’ve been beaten.
