Some things leave one at a complete loss.

It is an old Republican trick, now a MAGA trick to Mega extremes. The best example of the “trick” is the swiftboating thing, as it’s the easiest to understand. When George W. Bush ran against John Kerry, Karl Rove et. al. knew that one of their biggest weaknesses was the fact that both Bush and Kerry were Yale bluebloods. And yet John Kerry made a name for himself early in life when he volunteered to go to Vietnam and didn’t sit at a desk. He took one of the most dangerous jobs in the military at the time. He “captained” a swift boat, basically a river patrol, a fifty-foot aluminum boat. He was wounded and received the Purple Heart and then bravely came back and testified to Congress.

George W. Bush? No one ever really figured out what Bush did. He sorta’ joined the Texas National Guard and sorta’ trained to fly planes. Most people sorta’ don’t know.

What to do? Take the other side’s biggest strength and make it their weakness. We see the same thing happening with the Trump kids versus the Biden’s kids, only the MAGAs act as though Joe has ever only had one child.

Joe Biden is a family man who adores his kids, each and every one. It may surprise a lot of the MAGAs but Biden does have more children than just Hunter. Beau, an American hero and Attorney General for Delaware lost his life to cancer, Biden had another daughter lose her life in a horrific crash. Hunter is a Yale-trained lawyer who has struggled with substance ab*se issues and might have been involved in some muddy – but not illegal, business deals.

Yet if you listen to the MAGAs, Hunter is a Mexican warlord running guns to Somalia and dr*gs into the United States. Meanwhile, the Trump kids are the epitome of wholesomeness, just regular American kids. Eric teaches 9th grade English, Don Jr. is an E.R. nurse in the Bronx, and Ivanka fell in love with a sweet guy she met at Rutgers and moved to a farm in Iowa with her husband where they grow corn and soy. Ivanka volunteers as the assistant soccer coach. Or, at least, that’s the storyline that the MAGAs want you to believe.

They want you to overlook that each one of them might be indicted for fraud later this year, and even if not, not a single one of them can run a charity in New York because they’ve proven that they steal from charities. Meanwhile, if they want to hold add*ction against a person (and we never do), they should get a look at some of Don Jr.’s videos lately. Or his dad. If Junior is not on dr*gs, then he needs some dr*gs, overseen by a doctor, of course.

Brigitte Gabriel is a Lebanese American conservative author who heads up an anti-Muslim non-profit. But for our purposes, you could just stop at “conservative,” which translates as MAGA nowadays. Gabriel has a message for all you parents out there, create Trumps, not Hunters (again, never mind that Hunter is just one of Biden’s kids and seems to be a contrite one at that, as opposed to the Trumps…)

PERFECT. Not even “good,” but PERFECT.

Ironic, because we get the feeling that the Manhattan D.A. is about to lay out charges against each of those Trump kids (two of which were already within inches of being charged with felonies in 2010), and, though everyone is presumed innocent, we will at least know the crime that the PERFECT Trump kids might have committed. As of yet, we’ve yet to hear the crime for which Hunter needs to be imprisoned.

Making deals because your father has a prominent name is nothing to be celebrated, but half of the Boards in America would be missing people if we made such practices against the law. Moreover, even though Hunter had no business being on the Burisma board in Ukraine, that wasn’t illegal, either. But the fraud that the Trumps have involved themselves in, well… we’ll see.

Regardless, we believe we can think of “more” PERFECT role models for American children, the names Sasha and Malia come to mind. And, not that it matters, but Malia Obama is far more likely to be president someday than any of the PERFECT Trump kids.
