We have always felt a bit bad for Britney Spears. In some ways, she never had a chance.
How many of us at 18 years of age could handle stardom, fame, and fortune – a lot of fortune, could we handle it with grace, aplomb, and responsibility. Anyone? Anyone? No. The moment that Brittany came of the age when it was technically legal for men to lear at her in her short skirts and low-buttoned blouses (the same age as your average high school senior), she was being used by the people who would make money off her. Mostly men.
Did she enjoy it? Sure. She was 18. Could she handle it? No, very few could. We felt bad for her. She was used. Then, for reasons we’ll never understand, she seemed to be used further and somehow fell under a conservatorship that, quite frankly, we don’t have time or desire to dig deep into the details. It seems, again, she was used.
So that’s Britney.
Now someone will have to explain to us how it is that Brittany’s situation mirrors that of citizens in blue states. Don Jr. believes that they’re similar enough that people who believe Brittany’s a victim should also feel that way about the citizens of blue states. Evidently, Junior is saying something about allowing someone to live their lives without someone else making decisions for them.
Typical Junior. Whether Junior realizes it or not, but the 600,000 that died from COVID, and their loved ones, likely dearly wish that someone in government had done their jobs, a job that specifically contemplates putting laws and rules in place to protect the community from public dangers. The Constitution gives states the right to protect and promote the general welfare of the people. Moreover, Brittany’s short skirts weren’t going to hurt anyone beyond Brittany. COVID on the other hand, could hurt innocent people trying to go about their lives responsibly.
In the same way that Trump Sr. wanted to call out the military to assist in putting down the “uprisings,” in order to protect the welfare of citizens, so – too, were the laws designed to stamp out the disease. Junior need only look at New York City and see what a virus unchecked can do. Or, hell, he can look at his dad, who mocked people who got the disease right up until he got it. Junior, more than all people, should appreciate that COVID was terribly dangerous. His father came far closer to death than was ever reported (as we now hear from new reporting), and owes his life – likely – to receiving treatments unavailable to the general public, monoclonal antibodies.
So this just isn’t working for us:
How many Americans rightly concerned about Brittany Spears’ conservatorship had no problems with America’s conservatorship under blue state governors for the past year???
I’m guessing close to 100%— Donald Trump Jr. (@DonaldJTrumpJr) June 29, 2021
Junior, get help. Please.
