You would think that on the day that the Trump Organization and the CFO, Trump’s Right-Hand Money Man, Allen Weisselberg are indicted with felonies, Fox and Friends would certainly ask the Fox-employed Trump family spokesperson, Lara Trump, about the family’s reaction to facing trial. But Fox doesn’t exist to report the news, Fox exists to distribute the propaganda.

Thus it was that the hosts at Fox and Friends, skipped the messy indictment stuff and asked Lara only about the snowbird retiree’s trip to the Texas-American border, where – according to Fox, there exists a crisis far worse than the one that killed 600,000 Americans over the last year.

Before we get to Lara’s blathering bullsh*t, we should note – as we always do – that, yes, the situation at the border is a complete cluster ffff. However, that is hardly the new administration’s fault. The Trump administration’s draconian policies that could be called crimes against humanity, created a backlog of refugees seeking safety in the United States. Any president, any president, who followed Trump, was going to face the same situation.

It is not hyperbole, nor overly partisan to say that Trump and Stephen Miller created this situation, or at least made it foreseeable and inevitable.

But don’t worry, Trump rode to the rescue and he will use the fact that he’s still the “real president” to fix the situation. Or something.

“I think it was fantastic to see somebody go down and actually take charge of the situation.”

WTF?

“President Trump, being the former president, sure got a lot more accomplished in his visit to the southern border than the acting border czar Kamala Harris did with her photo-op trip to a place that was 800 miles away from where the real problem happens to be down on the southern border.”

List the things he got accomplished, Lara. Go ahead. We will wait. Tell us what changed due to Trump – being the former president – because he visited the border. Lara? Lara…?

“Thank goodness the former president is down there at the southern border, taking control of the situation. Thank goodness somebody is paying attention: former President Trump.”

Excuse us, but everyone on the Right is “paying attention to the border,” (and so is President Biden and Vice-President Harris), because the alternative is that the MAGAs would have to pay attention to Biden defeating COVID, lifting up the economy, getting infrastructure done, and not being indicted for felonies in the state of New York.

Jesus, these people.
