If the reader is expecting us to explain why Tucker Carlson decided to pick tonight to accuse Nancy Pelosi of looking like Michael Jackson, he or she will be tremendously disappointed. But here’s our best shot.

Tucker literally has nothing else to talk about and is genuinely curious as to whether he can find a new low, one that is so strange that people suggest hospitalization, as a joke.

At some level, it makes sense. If Tucker had to talk about the actual news being made in the last few days he would end up having to talk about Jim Jordan refusing to cooperate with the Committee upon which McCarthy nominated him to serve, saying the Committee would use anything he said “out of context,” apparently unaware of the fact that any deponent has a right to a copy of the transcript, which he could publish.

Tucker might have to talk about the fact that Politico and the Select Committee found forged documents sent to the Michigan and Arizona Secretary of States’ offices, apparently provided for their use, should they be needed.

Hell, Tucker could have talked about the most courageous and badass tweet we’ve seen in a long time, one put out by Congressman Eric Swalwell, one that said that there were a few members of the House that had they not been on the inside of the House chamber on January 6th, they would have been on the outside, pushing in, implying that there are House members that helped the people outside and – this is where it gets cool, if he can make a statement like that, with that kind of confidence, he’s telling the House members that they know who they are.

Tucker doesn’t want to talk about any of that stuff. We are back to where we started, there really isn’t a hell of a lot left. So he said that Michael Jackson came back from the dead and spoke from the Capitol, then showed Nancy Pelosi. Yes, he did.

The statement is made even more confusing by the fact that, by the time of his death, no one would really say what Jackson looked like, just not Michael Jackson. He might have been the best pop dancer to ever live, wrote some great music, but was certainly mentally ill and if the settlements tell us anything (and they do) abused children.

Here is Tucker Carlson, saying that Michael Jackson came back from the dead to give a speech to do an interview from the Capitol. To the rest of us, it just looks like Nancy Pelosi.
