To the great relief of almost every single important (decision-making) MAGA, Trump called off his proposed press conference today, in which he would have been split screened, juxtaposed against a real president, (whether liked or not) handling things the way a real president does, with solemnity, a message, and unity – except in calling out Trump, which was entirely appropriate.

The MAGAs surely knew that even with the press conference canceled, Trump wouldn’t be able to just let Biden speak. No, Trump, of course, put out his anticipated “45 President of the United States Statement” – a tweet thread on paper. But everyone expected that.

However, it likely surprised everyone that Trump decided to saunter in front of OAN cameras today to air his grievances and – surprise! – his biggest grievance is that our elections are rigged.

It is noteworthy that shortly after the presidential election, Georgia had a senate runoff that almost mirrored the presidential vote. It was a stunning testament to the power of community organization (Thank you, Stacey Abrams) that Georgia elected TWO Democratic Senators, giving Democrats the slimmest lead in the Senate (If only Joe Manchin were a real Democrat).

The amazing thing is that Trump talks about “thousands” of votes that “Ruby” dumped “on camera” with respect to his personal election, and has had exactly nothing to say about the near-identical results in the Georgia Senate runoff. It has nothing to do with him, therefore it’s unimportant, even though it swung control of the Senate. If Trump actually won, but the Senators won by near the same margin, didn’t Ruby have to dump thousands of votes again?

The other rather hilarious aspect of this interview is that in the last month, the State of Florida has cited four voters (all from The Villages, a heavily Republican “city”) for voting twice. Trump says that “hundreds of thousands of rigged votes can be dumped into a system,” but the state of Florida can find and cite individuals who vote… twice.

Last point, beyond the fact that Trump won’t shut up about the election. Let’s pretend for a moment that someone, either a foreign power or domestic group, did conspire to dump hundreds of thousands of fake ballots into the system to steal an election. Who was president at the time? Would it not fall under his duty to prevent such a dangerous situation? And thus, isn’t he admitting that, at the very least, that he was incompetent in preventing it?

He looks dumber every time. Speaking of how he looks, and we don’t like attaching importance to someone’s weight or appearance unless it’s a public figure whose health might impact our country’s health (i.e. if he’s going insane) but for a while, it appeared that Trump was losing weight. Just looking at his face, it looks like that stage is over and he’s back to gaining it. Just something we noticed.
