A Double Negative: (Google)

A negative statement containing two negative elements (for example he didn’t say nothing ).

Obviously, meaning he did say something.

Double negatives can be a bit tricky because there are times that we use them colloquially and everyone knows what is meant. But again, that’s during informal speech between two… maybe less sophisticated or educated people (Notice we do not use the word “intelligent,” because one can be extremely intelligent and lack the ability to get a formal education or be brought up in a cultural environment where a certain form of speech predominates.)

But an ex-president is supposed to be sophisticated, educated, and especially, when putting anything to paper, damned clear in what he or she meant. Donald Trump insists to us that he is actually a sophisticated, and educated president, and he thinks he has a special quality of genius.

Alright, let’s give him a chance and let’s take him at his word: “Not smart, but genius….and a very stable genius at that!”

And so herewith is the formal statement from the Office of the 45th President of the United States:

Should Kamala Harris Run for President in 2028?

President Donald J. Trump: “Anybody that doesn’t think there wasn’t massive Election Fraud in the 2020 Presidential Election is either very stupid, or very corrupt!”

Stop the presses. “Donald Trump just admits that he lost a clean and fair election in 2020, which is good because it was only on December 4th, 2021, for the love of God!”

How cool is it that this man thinks about that election 24 hours a day, every day, and will – for the rest of his life?

Meanwhile, having finally climbed that mountain, the internet threw a party.

Stupid people can be sweet and nice, that’s the difference.

Yep. But he says he’s a stable special type of genius and so we’re taking him at his word. Thus, he just admitted that unless one simply says the election was fair and non-corrupt, you are either an idiot or corrupt.
