Trump won’t quit. Even as evidence comes out clearly showing that the White House was desperate enough so as to declare a national emergency and militarize the entire election, having the National Guard in each state count the votes, Trump is still blaming Pence.
It would be funny if it was not so sad. But the other thing preventing this from being funny is that Trump is using some unusual words (for Trump) and they are violent.
“I was disappointed in one thing, but it was a big thing. Mike should have sent those crooked votes back to the legislatures and you would have had a different result in the election, in my opinion,” the former President told an audience on Saturday as part of O’Reilly’s “History Tour” in Sunrise, Florida.
“I think Mike has been very badly hurt by what took place in respect to January 6,” Trump said. “I think he’s been mortally wounded, frankly, because I see the reaction he’s getting from people.” The former vice president has fueled rumors about his interest in a 2024 presidential bid with several visits to Iowa and New Hampshire this year.
That is not how Trump normally speaks. To Trump, “mortally” is a country near Slovenia. It almost seems like he (or someone else) picked those words out as an extra punch, almost, maybe. Admittedly, we’re guessing.
The point is, of course, that it’s December 14, 2021 and the election was last Nov. 3rd and Trump has yet to move on. Isn’t it wonderful? He will never, ever, move on. He will die talking about the 2020 election.
