There have been accusations that the guys at the Lincoln Project are essentially grifting off the left. They certainly are making quite a bit of money, but they also made quite a bit of a difference in the last election. No one does nasty, down in the mud, campaigning better than Republicans and the LP is stuffed with former Republicans.

Additionally, whether getting rich or not, their hearts do seem to be in it, because they’ve taken some big risks.

But, the risks that the Lincoln Project takes are nothing like the risks being taken by the MAGAs who continue to pretend that COVID doesn’t exist. Omicron is just so much more ridiculously contagious than the other strains that in less than about three weeks, it seems that the entire country has it, or is surrounded by it.

At this rate, significant portions of the country’s infrastructure will grind to a standstill by mid-January. Infrastructure includes our medical staff, already worked to the point of exhaustion and mental health issues. Thus, not only does it increase the risk of us getting sick – however mild, given the vax status, but it increases the chances we suffer or die if we’re in a car accident and rushed to the hospital.

Thus, Rick Wilson of the LP had no trouble posting the following:

Should Kamala Harris Run for President in 2028?

Ouch. That one might be beyond what we consider good taste, though perhaps we’re a little overly sensitive and not thinking about the number of innocent people that may be immuno-compromised and can’t get vaccinated, the type that has died due to COVID because the MAGAs couldn’t be bothered to educate themselves and get vaccinated. And, again, this would be a bad time to be helicoptered into an ER, with staff already exhausted.

The net found it acceptable:

And this is why it’s controversial:
