It is impossible for a pattern to have escaped the attention of liberals everywhere. Problems in historically “blue states” – you know, the profitable ones? The states whose money funds MS, AR, ID, etc? – these problems, such as Hurricane Sandy, the California fires, and even COVID, cause the red-state senators to suddenly become very concerned about the budget, having things paid for and become very states’ right’s type.
Trump was the absolute worst. He couldn’t figure out why they needed to use federal emergency funds for California because California didn’t support him, as if the U.S. Treasury belonged to him, personally, as president and king, and he wasn’t about to give any away to some “bad people” who wouldn’t support him.
But even more unforgivably, in what will forever be a stain on this nation, Jared Kushner and Donald Trump decided that the COVID outbreak would somehow remain confined to the blue states, the west coast, and the northeast, both of them were too stupid to realize it would soon be nationwide and across the globe. Recall, the governor of Maryland even had to arrange for a private 747 from Korean Airlines to freighter in COVID tests?
Rand Paul criticized federal funds going to New York for Hurricane Sandy. Rand Paul also supported Trump through his absolute worst abuses.
Last night, one of the most horrific tornados in U.S. history spread a trail of destruction over 200 miles, almost unheard of. Others broke out in other states and much of it through Kentucky and Tennessee. . And guess who was the first in line to get some of his hands on some of the emergency funding?
Rand Paul. And of course, Kentucky should get emergency relief, absolutely. It is the blatant hypocrisy that is so galling.

And yet in the very next disaster to hit a blue state and we’ll hear about the budget… at least from Rand Paul, among others.
