It is an unbelievably high standard for a public figure to sue a critic for libel, but Vice President Harris may truly have a case against Newsmax’s Greg Kelly.

Kelly is not a serious person, never mind a serious reporter. This is the man who complained that Biden’s old dog didn’t look presidential enough. But he is now making serious accusations without any serious basis.

On Monday night’s Greg Kelly Reports, Seamus Bruner (the guy who is part of Bannon’s Government Accountability Institute) joined Kelly to talk about all the negative reporting coming from the Right on Harris’s office of late.

Unbelievably, Kelly opened by asking Bruner “Does she have a drug or alcohol problem?”

We suppose it’s to Bruer’s credit that he wasn’t going there and just shifted over; “Well, she has an authenticity problem that is for sure.”

Kelly wouldn’t let it go:

“Well, I don’t mean to make light, because substance abuse is a real thing.

Should Kamala Harris Run for President in 2028?

And if she does have a problem — and I have heard through high-level sources that she might have a problem — and if she does, I hope she gets help.”

Fck off. Kelly’s “high level source” could be his 12-year-old son. (We have no idea whether Kelly has a son or what age, the point is that he could be entirely making this up, or getting it from someone who is entirely making it up).

This isn’t the first time Kelly has done this, according to Mediaite:

In November, Kelly seized upon a concocted controversy over the veep’s pronunciation of the word “the” to make the same claim, with a more nebulous citation.

“She needs help. She needs help. I’m not kidding,” Kelly told viewers.

“Kamala Harris, the vice president of the United States, somebody close to her has to help her. She obviously has, I think she has a drug or alcohol problem. I think! I think, and I’ve actually been hearing some, some things you tell me, is this normal behavior?” Kelly said.

He then played a clip of Harris pronouncing the word “the” as “thee” for emphasis and reiterated his claim following the clip.

“There’s something very strange about this person. If she is suffering from addiction, I hope genuinely she gets help,” Kelly said.

There is someone very strange about a person who thinks that someone who says “thee” to emphasize something important is giving away that he or she is on drugs or has an alcohol problem.

This is both outrageous and unbelievably irresponsible. Thankfully, Greg Kelly has nowhere near the audience that Sean Hannity has and the ridiculous statement won’t reach many people but it truly is outrageous.
