Well, this is more than a bit weird. Actually, it is quite disturbing if seen from the right angle. Maybe Mark Meadows doesn’t even read Donald Trump’s “statements” – which are tweets. He retweeted Trump calling him a liar today. Is it possible to have retweets on automatic?

We don’t know. We know it’s possible to delete tweets and that hasn’t happened yet.

As noted by the person who found it and spread the word:

Of all the Trump-induced groveling, sycophancy, and genuflection that has taken place over the last five years among Republicans, Mark Meadows retweeting Trump’s statement calling him a liar gets the gold medal!

Yeah. We agree. It would seem that Mark Meadows needs to make a decision. First of all, he needs to decide if he actually did lie or not. Second, he has to figure out if he cares. And, of course, third, Meadows needs to meditate upon whether he is on his side or Trump’s side in the inevitable friction to come.

Meadows’ upcoming book – which cannot possibly contain all that much truthful stuff about what actually happened with Trump in the Oval Office or what Trump knew and when, does assert that Trump tested positive for COVID three days prior to the first debate with Biden.

The timing sort of aligns. Trump announced he had tested positive for COVID at 1:00 a.m. October 1st on a Friday morning and was at Walter Reed that evening.  (Talk about Friday news dump)

The pattern and dates comport with what we’ve read about how people normally experience COVID. We have read case after case where people feel sick, wait for a few days, maybe a week, have trouble breathing and then go to the hospital.  The debate was Tuesday and an article with the timeline indicates that doctors started treating him prior to the announcement.

It is entirely possible that Meadows is telling the truth. Except he wants people to know that Trump says it’s a lie:

Just, wow. He could’ve detected it. As of the time we published, he had not.
