Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA), has been moving from one controversial scenario to the next since her first day as a representative, and her most recent is a Tweet saying that democrats moving to conservative ruled states should face restrictions so that they can’t turn red states into blue ones. She tweeted this in reply to another user who said that they supported “discriminating” legislation against people in this situation, which he referred to as a “transplant.”

In Greene’s answer to this idea, she said such a thing would be “possible in a National Divorce scenario”, which as anyone may have guessed, sounds a lot like a synonym for “Civil War”. Her reasoning for this line of thought is that, “After Democrat voters and big donors ruin a state like California, you would think it wise to stop them from doing it to another great state like Florida.”

It was Greene’s fellow representative Jamaal Bowman (D-NY) who first pointed out that what his colleague was talking about something sounded very similar to the South fighting to leave the country in 1861. Bowman sent his own Tweet which said: “The fact that a sitting Member of Congress is toying with the idea of a civil war 8 days before January 6 should alarm everyone.”

He also asked in his Tweet, “Why does Marjorie Taylor Greene still have her seat?” His suggestion that her comments should result in removal would not be her first time being punished for her extremist views, and she is currently not allowed to sit on committee assignments, which were taken away almost immediately after she took office.
