Mehmet Oz.
It is an unusual name, or perhaps “unique” is the right word. Doctors seem to think their names look better with initials behind them, so let’s try this, “Mehmet Oz MD.” (For whatever reason, lawyers don’t seem as fixated on needing the JD behind their names, odd). But that’s not good enough for Mehmet Oz, the new entrant into the Pennsylvania race for the Senate. He believes he has the right to his stage name alone, “Dr. Oz.”
The Philadelphia Inquirer doesn’t necessarily “disagree” (they likely could care less), they just have a policy of using people’s “names” and not nicknames, show names, or show titles, when it comes to referencing candidates for the United States Senate. Thus, the Philadelphia Inquirer has determined that the carpet-bagging candidate from California will be known henceforth in Pennsylvania as Mehmet Oz. Because that’s the guy’s name.
Well, this is an outrage.
“Dr. Oz,” went on Fox (where else?) to scream that they are purposefully doing this to him because he’s a threat to the powerful and they are scared, so they refuse to use his… show name? “Dr. Oz.”
Rand Paul is a doctor (sort of) but we seldom see “Dr. Paul” written anywhere while referencing him, he’s known as “Rand Paul,” or – if we must, “Senator Paul.” Paul Gosar is a dentist and a racist, but we rarely see Paul Gosar DDS Racist behind his name, nor “Dr. Gosar.”
But MAGA is now about show business and few know it better than Mehmet Oz, “Dr. Oz.” So he unleashed today on Fox News:
The Philadelphia Inquirer recently announced that it will refer to Dr. Oz by his name – Mehmet Oz – in articles about the Senate campaign, just like all other candidates. Oz is outraged this about that this morning, saying that it is “shocking” and “they want to silence me.”

He is on Fox News, home of the Republican voter, complaining about being silenced, My God, these people.
