For reasons only Newsmax will ever understand, they decided to give voice to a violent rioter, Edward Lang, still in jail for the January 6th riot at the Capitol. They paid the price, as you will see below.
Newsmax host Heather Childers was quite concerned about Lang’s fate, asking him if he’d face repercussions for even doing the interview: “No doubt, you’re probably going to face some repercussions for even doing this interview. Are you a little worried about that?“
Umm, there’s some doubt, Heather. He still has some First Amendment Rights. It depends upon what he says.
Lang is obviously too tough to care about problems: “Fear does not live in the hearts of patriots. And, you know, it’s time for American people to band together and to stand behind the Constitution and to really support the January sixers because we were the frontline…”
Yep. That will do it. When you are in jail for joining a giant conspiracy to help overthrow an election, and you do it with some vi0lence (or he wouldn’t still be in jail, he used a bat), law enforcement does have the authority to keep you from asking others to commit the same crime all over again.
Childers seemed concerned – again – for Lang, and, of course – sided with the man who was attempting to keep the violent movement together: “Uh oh. Someone didn’t like that conversation.”
Right. That will happen when there’s a guy in jail for a crime and when allowed to speak to the public talks about sticking together to commit more crimes. Childers would understand if Lang were a different color. (This is a guess, but we suspect a pretty good guess.)
