Speaking at least for the writers of this site, we’re not geniuses, the owner may be, not us. But we do read works written by geniuses and we’ve relayed repeatedly over the last two years that the actual goal of propaganda is not to make you believe something is true, in fact, it is just the opposite. The true goal of all propaganda is to make the populace give up on the idea of there even being “a truth.”
How can there not be a “truth”?
Good propaganda convinces people that absolutely everyone on earth has an agenda, an angle, and will shade “the truth” in light of what they want you to believe. It doesn’t work with something as simple as “they shook hands.” People can see that. But then it’ll begin, “but did you notice the look in his eye when they shook hands? And look at that grip, that’s an angry shake of hands…” And so it begins, there’s no simple truth about shaking hands, there is an agenda and the truth is literally unknowable because it doesn’t exist.
Once people give up on the idea of there being an actual “truth,” then they are in a position where they will believe anything if they see it as in their interests. It is also why it is essential to attack the mainstream press, the NYT, WaPo, Atlantic, CNN, even some things on Fox as “the enemy of the people.” A population must see the “truth” presented to them as that which the enemy wants them to believe, instead of believing in whatever they choose.
Watch this old video of an interview with a KGB agent and listen to him relate KGB doctrine versus the United States. We believe the portion about the “2-5 years to destabilize a nation as being less important than the part about getting people to believe the most ridiculous, non-common sense things.
It is also interesting to note that the video looks like it comes from a period of time when Vladimir Putin would be receiving his training or beginning his first years as a young agent.
THIS is Putin's blueprint for Trump & his GOP loyalists to follow…
