So far, at least two of Trump’s golf courses have been confirmed to be illegally sporting the Presidential seal as a tee marker, and recently a third has been reported to be utilizing the symbol in the same manner. There was a recent picture uploaded to Instagram of the Trump National Golf Club Jupiter in Florida, located 20 miles from Trump’s Mar-A-Lago, where the seal can be seen set in the grass.
Donald Trump…breaking the law? Tell me it’s not true!
While the Trump Organization has not responded to any inquiries about that photo, they have had to make apologies for similar misuse of the seal in the past. In 2018, they were called out by the podcast “Trump, Inc.” for having the signature mark littered over other Trump properties. The podcast also traced the maker of those symbols to the metalworking and sign company then known as “Eagle Sign and Design”, located in Louisville, Kentucky.

This latest development pertaining to the National Golf Club Jupiter is particularly relevant as it is one of Trump’s most frequented golf courses, as he is often staying at Mar-A-Lago. However, both this club as well as the Trump’s others in the Bronx and New Jersey are most likely in violation of laws that do not allow the seal to be displayed in a way that could falsely convey government sponsorship.

In response to the past incidents of similar misuse, the Trump organization responded by blaming the markers on extreme Trump fans, but it would be harder to make the same case this time around. The sign and metalwork company that was originally pinned for those symbols will no longer have any relevance either, as they were purchased by the B Sign Group.
