The country has known for quite some time now that Trump never had any respect for laws and didn’t believe that laws applied to certain people, anyway. It was rather obvious when he came into the White House that he saw himself as an MBS, Putin type, all-powerful. He just didn’t “get it.”

Now Stephanie Grisham is confirming our suspicions, telling Jim Acosta that Trump would tell staff to break laws and he would cover for them.

It became a laughing matter around the White House:

“I’m very glad that this is happening, and I do hope that it will have, you know, many others who are getting subpoenaed like you said at the beginning, take a step back and realize there’s some consequences here.

“However, my prediction is that the former president is going to tell everybody to continue to stall, they’re going to fund-raise off of this. [Steve] Bannon absolutely I think is going to wear this as a badge of honor and martyr himself almost.”

Well, this website just published a piece that described what Bannon clearly knew about the upcoming January 6th riot. He may not be a martyr so much as pragmatic. Given what he knows, he might be far better off going to jail for a year and paying a big fine rather than testifying and taking the 5th to every question asked.

“You know, this is a very small example compared to what’s going on, but I recall in the White House when we would get Hatch Act violations, that was a badge of honor.

It was a joke in the White House. And you know, the president used to say to us, ‘You know who’s in charge of the Hatch Act? It’s me, go ahead, say whatever you want to say.’

A badge of honor, proof of loyalty. Trump has been quoted, above smarts, competency, all that, loyalty is the most important value.

“I want to also say that I think this makes the 2022 elections more vital than ever because I have a feeling, knowing them like I do, he’s going to tell everyone to stall and that if the House is taken over with his rubber stamp candidates that he want to get in, the special committee will then go away.”

Oh, the Select Committee would go away alright. We know it, she knows it, and the Select Committee knows it.

Grisham is right about everything except Bannon and his badge of honor. The tape compilation we published proves Bannon was in on the conspiracy for the riots. He is avoiding that committee to save himself, not to gain a badge.
