If you’ve been paying attention to the feud between former President Donald Trump and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, you’d think they had always been mortal enemies. Gone are the days of them working together to appoint ultra-right-wing Justices to the Supreme Court. Forgotten is the teamwork that led to Trump’s disastrous tax cuts for the wealthy.

All of that has been replaced by Mitch making him look bad by voting for Joe Biden’s infrastructure bill.

And in a move that’s sure to drive Trump absolutely bonkers, McConnell is already on the news celebrating what a victory the bipartisan bill is for his home state.

After getting a “C” from the American Society of Civil Engineers on the state’s flagging roadways and structures, McConnell was relieved and proud about the passage of the bill. “We have a lot of infrastructure needs, both in rural areas and with big bridges,” he said to a crowd in Morehead on Monday.

“It’s a godsend for Kentucky. We have a lot of infrastructure needs,” McConnell told the gathered crowd.

The money headed to the Bluegrass State is slated to help rebuild obsolete bridges and stimulate economic growth in the more rural areas of the state.

McConnell was the most prominent of the 19 Senate Republicans who crossed the aisle to vote with Democrats in the passage of the historic bill.

Angry that the bill’s passage gives his successor Joe Biden a political “win,” Trump has attacked McConnell and the other GOP Senators who voted in favor of it as “RINOs,” or “Republicans in Name Only.”

All Republicans who voted for Democrat longevity should be ashamed of themselves, in particular Mitch McConnell, for granting a two month stay which allowed the Democrats time to work things out at our Country’s, and the Republican Party’s, expense!

But then, Mitch doesn’t really need to worry about what Donald Trump thinks anymore.

Of course, Trump was furious, and released a statement calling McConnell an “old crow”.
