Ohio’s state senate has proposed a new legislative map that would move GOP Rep. Jim Jordan’s district and pit him against a popular incumbent Democrat. The move has his campaign and supporters up in arms over the possibility that he could be ejected from Congress entirely.
In fact, Jordan spokesman Kevin Eichinger speculated that the move was purposeful on the part of Ohio Republicans. Many are tired of his antics in Congress and have been for some time:
John Boehner tried to draw Mr. Jordan out 10 years ago. It didn’t work then. It won’t work now. Mr. Jordan is running for reelection.
Both parties are attempting to draw the most favorable maps possible for themselves ahead of the 2022 midterms. Based on US Census information collected every ten years, the new redistricting period is especially important to Republicans who want to regain control of the House and Senate.
But Jim Jordan is not popular outside his current home district, and that could pose a serious problem for the Trump sidekick who voted not to certify the election and has supported the former president’s various lawsuits attempting to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential race.
There may not be another Republican Congressman as closely aligned with Trump as Jordan is. Trump awarded the 7-term Representative with the Presidential Medal of Freedom less than a week after the Capitol riots that sent hundreds to jail and caused more than a million dollars in damage.
There are a handful of lawmakers whose absence from Congress would likely change America for the better. Jim Jordan is chief among them.
Twitter had some thoughts, and Democrats are loving the idea of a Jim Jordan-less House of Representatives.

Good riddance to the meandering GQP Districts. Geography and population should determine districts not income

What other job could Gym get where he could be shouty & combative, but not do any actual work?

HERE'S HOPING!!!!! THAT WOULD BE AWESOME! My fear though, is that he would run for Ohio governor. 🙁

He'll move to another easy GOP district, just like Issa did in CA. Voters don't choose them. They choose their voters.
