After trying her hardest to get into the Washington, DC jail where the Capitol rioters are being held, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene was finally successful this week.

Along with Texas Republican Louie Gohmert, Greene was eventually given a tour of the facility on Thursday. Calling the section where the rioters are housed the “Patriot Wing” of the jail, Greene said that the inmates “rushed out to meet me with tears streaming down their faces.”

That must have been quite a sight.

After meeting with the inmates, Greene vowed to tackle prison reform, although since she was stripped of all her committee assignments back in February, she has little influence whatsoever in Congress.

If only Rep. Greene hadn’t goaded these prisoners into trying to overthrow the government in the first place, perhaps she could have been spared such a traumatic experience.
