While writing here, I mentioned over and over that Don Jr. was more “in tune” with MAGA culture than even his father. One could tell during the 2020 campaign speeches that some people were forced to watch by their wonderful boss. It was Junior, not Trump, who got the loudest responses from the crowd.

It is actually hard to recall, but during Trump’s first campaign, they essentially had to hide Junior. He was a liability. Every kid was a liability except for Ivanka. Ivanka didn’t say much, often she didn’t say anything. We suspect it’s obvious why she had “appeal.”

But Junior eventually endeared himself to what became a culture and a cult. The transition was due in no small part to the faux transformation of himself into the rugged man who would take tremendous pride in taking the lives of some of the Earth’s most beautiful creatures for nothing more than a picture. (Is Junior eating these exotic African mammals? We suspect not).

Additionally, there is simply no way to become a real MAGA, politician or not, without a love of guns that (we hope) is second only to their families. It doesn’t matter if one is Ted Cruz, Lindsey, Marj, Boebert, any of them, one must have a picture, whether they care about firearms or not. Donald Trump is excepted because he can wear his pants backward (allegedly) and the MAGAs wouldn’t dare criticize him.

Thus, it is entirely expected that when Junior had to wish his beloved sister happy birthday on Instagram, he did it by including a picture of her sister holding… a gun. Yep.

It is a shotgun, she looks to be using it for sporting clays, and the kids are with her! A family outing.

There is nothing wrong with sh00ting sporting clays or any animal one intends to use as real meat (within the rules). This is more a criticism of the fact that Junior likely has dozens, perhaps hundreds, of pictures of his sister with her children. He picked this particular one to put on his site.

He also included this photo which is rather infuriating. I don’t think I will ever get over the fact that this family was in he White House:

And that is why it is Junior, not senior, who is so culturally tied to the MAGAs.
