It took Donald Trump and his demand for “loyalty” above all else (including, intelligence, ability, work ethic, morals, Trump said “loyalty” was more important to him than all the above, sickness), to make Ted Cruz accuse Liz Cheney, repeat, a Cheney, to run for president as a Democrat. That’s what Donald Trump does, he makes a Cheney a Democrat.

Responding to a CNN video that asked whether Cheney would be a viable 2024 presidential candidate, Cruz wrote: “Yes. It’s called the Democratic primary.”

Again, a Cheney as a Democrat? Well, as you might imagine, that lit a bit of a match in Liz who can more than take care of herself against the likes of a Ted Cruz. Cheney responded:

“I know you’re posturing for the secessionist vote, Ted. But my party, the Republican party, saved the Union. You swore an oath to the Constitution. Act like it.”

Sizzle, sizzle, sizzle, flip. MAGA-Republicans best learn to leave Liz Cheney alone because this site follows all of these back and forth and Liz remains unbeaten. Granted, it is a bit easier when you have principles on your side rather than blind loyalty.

Rep. Adam Kinzinger, another Republican who refuses to bow down and kiss Trump’s ring couldn’t help himself, nor did he likely want to help himself. A free shot at Ted Cruz?

“Damn son, Liz brought the heat on you!”

Cruz used the same level of judgment that has gotten him in so much trouble in the last year, and decided to reply:

“These two need to hurry up and get their bottom-rated @msnbcshow. @AdamKinzinger @RepLizCheney.

Kinzinger decided it was time to give Cruz some advice from an adult:

“Senator, you’ve been given a huge position to lead and tell people truth. Yet you have squandered it on lies and abused the patriotism of those who trusted you. I will have zero regrets… will you?”

And then Eric Swalwell who really slammed the lid on Cruz by telling Kinzinger:

“Adam, if you want @tedcruz‘s support you’re going to have to attack his wife.”

Oh, snap.
