One of the reasons why The View is such a respected and popular political talk show is that – to the surprise of male television executives everywhere – it turns out that just like the women in our lives, the women on The View can often be a little more direct than, say, men. When one makes Whoopi Goldberg one of those women, one is going to get super-sized “directness” in the commentary.
Yesterday, as most know, Sean Spicer, Kellyanne Conway, and H.R. McMaster, among others, were given prized positions on the military academy boards by Trump just weeks before he left office. Trump gave out these positions that used to be held by experts in the field, people super qualified in their own unique areas. Yesterday, Jen Psaki said that she would leave it up to the public to determine whether Kellyanne and Sean Spicer (among all of them) were qualified to be on the board.
That made Spicer angry. Not only did he refuse to resign, but Spicer came out and said, apparently to Jen Psaki, by way of television, that she shouldn’t “dare” question his service to this country. As we reported yesterday, technically, Jen didn’t question his service so much as his fitness and qualifications for this particular job.
Regardless, Whoopi just wasn’t having it, we will set her comments out here and then video below:
This is how it works. Y’all don’t know that because the guy you were working under didn’t know what he was doing. You elect a president and he gets the people he wants to sprinkle in there. Then after their four or eight years, then they go away. The man who should have left from the Post Office. Bye, sir! You shoulda been gone!
