Intensive Care Units across the entire country are stuffed with unvaxed Americans who are taxing the entire healthcare system to the point of breaking. In Idaho, they have formally announced that the healthcare system is broken and they are using triaged care, rationed care, whatever one wants to call it.

Some of the unvaxxed are uneducated as to the virus, or poorly educated, mislead by Right-wing media, they are somewhat innocent, tough to tell how much. But the ones that kinda know better and know the truth about the percentages are A) banking on the odds keeping them safe and B) that they are having a good time triggering the libs. This is their new trigger.

And throughout it all, the medical community acknowledges how much their lives matter by working themselves to the breaking point. Many of us pay for it all, because their lives matter. And we can even acknowledge that their lives matter and we do so every time we write about when one of them loses their life to covid, which is all too frequent.

It is obvious that unvaccinated lives “matter.” But that doesn’t mean that we shouldn’t be angry or that we cannot protect ourselves by compelling as much behavior as possible. That’s the bargain with the unvaccinated. Yes, we care enough to care for and about them, but we retain the right to be angry and compel behavior that will protect us and especially our children.

And yet Jim Banks just put out a tweet that embodies all the selfishness of this movement, a passive aggressive and self-righteous tweet that also undermines our Black American family members:
