Nancy Pelosi should collect her phone records for the last two years and have them hand-delivered to Matt Gaetz. The records are not recordings of the calls (we don’t think), they are simply records noting who a person called, what time, and what day. How many of us (who are not having affairs) would object to handing over such records?

In fact, it wouldn’t be a bad idea if every Democrat submitted their phone records for December and January. It would be highly unlikely that someone would find evidence of a crime from phone records alone. Additionally, these records are being sought under the Patriot Act, which was put in place by Republicans in order to ward off the very action thing they committed on January 6th, acts of terror.

Matt Gaetz is feeling the heat. Well, he was already feeling the heat, but the burner just got turned up to high. And so Matt is doing what Matt does in such situations, he’s lashing out like a madman, threatening to subpoena Nancy Pelosi’s phone records just as soon as they have a majority in 2022 (they sure assume a lot): Thanks to video from Rawstory report below:

“The reason Nancy Pelosi is doing this is because they want to cast this cloud of criminality,” he complained. “Nancy Pelosi better be careful what she wishes for because if the new tradition when one party gains power in the House of Representatives is that you investigate the personal records and the personal lives of the people who are out of power, well then 2022 and 2023 are going to be very difficult years for the Democrats.”

“Maybe we ought to look at Nancy Pelosi’s phone records with her husband. Who benefited millions of dollars off of stock trades and technology bills that were moving through the legislative process.

Sweet baby Jesus as a staff attorney, how is one going to investigate purported “millions of dollars of stock trades on technology bills” from simple phone calls from a wife to a husband?

One cannot. We doubt Pelosi is dirty, she’s been in Washington too long, hated too much. If she had skirted the rules, she’d have been caught. So, she ought to just arrange for ten years of records to be dropped off at Matt Gaetz’s office with a small note. “Now, what’s the problem?”

“This is unprecedented, this is Marxist and I look forward to standing up against it.”

Marxism is an economic theory, one that doesn’t work. But, pure Marxism is no more authoritarian than Capitalism under MAGA Republicans who believed they could steal an election. That is why Gaetz is so terrified.
