Perhaps only Queen Melania is less able to deal with criticism than Dear Leader Trump. As regular readers know, this site has had a zero-tolerance policy for a woman with zero-tolerance for anything other than self-promotion. Queen Melania doesn’t have the time, nor desire, to do anything else.
A subcategory of self-promotion is the inability to deal with even the slightest bit of criticism. Commoners understand that one of the hallmarks of adulthood is the ability to deal with criticism. There are times when the criticism hits the mark and an adult might say, “Yes, you are right, I do need to adjust that,” or something like, “Well, it’s a little more complicated than that, but it’s okay,” and even “I disagree entirely and choose to follow my own judgment on that.”
See, pretty easy, huh? We all do it, near every day.
Queen Melania doesn’t have that club in her bag, only a driver. Not only is all criticism entirely wrong, but the criticism is also born of bad people with terrible motives and Queen Melania will then personally attack her new enemy to the point of making shit up. It is her right as Queen.
Stephani Grisham, Melania’s former chief of staff has written a book with some stinging criticism that is 100% deserved and also surely the truth, corroborated with independent sources (it likely was very easy to confirm). The most serious indictment involves Queen Melania’s behavior on January 6th, which matched Donald’s with respect to antipathy toward the unfolding disaster. According to Woodward’s new book “Peril”:
Grisham texted Melania:
“Do you want to tweet that peaceful protests are the right of every American, but there is no place for lawlessness and violence?”
Unconcerned, Melania didn’t want to interject as the Capitol was ransacked with lives on the line:
“No.”
Grisham, no hero, but showing some sort of recognition of the horror, resigned hours later.
In response to the criticism in the book, Melania had her office release a statement. It must be noted that Melania’s official “Office” as “FLOTUS” exists solely to respond to criticism and issue generic thank you cards to those commoners with whom Melania finds favor. Other than that the “Office” responds to criticism in the third person, which at least provides some comedic value because the release is so obviously written by Melania:
From Queen Melania:
The intent behind this book is obvious. It is an attempt to redeem herself after a poor performance as press secretary, failed personal relationships, and unprofessional behavior in the White House. Through mistruth and betrayal, she seeks to gain relevance and money at the expense of Mrs. Trump.”
No, Queen Melania, if Grisham provided poor service the Queen would have let her go, head attached, at some point during the five years she worked in both east and west wings of the White House. The Queen also included personal shots meant to hurt those who criticize as punishment and a warning to her subjects that might try a similar tactic.
Melania persistently earns the scorn she gets from this site and many others. There is no indication that anything will change. Melania is the same person she was at age 12.
