There has never been any doubt that the “Anti-Choice” crowd, aka the “pro-life” folks were always more interested in restraining and dehumanizing women than they were in the prot0-life form in the uterus. One need only look at how they treat an actual baby born into poverty to see the difference. The abortion issue is about keeping women as the “property” of men, or at least less independent. The sluts will have to deal with their own choices. The guy is often long gone even though he might have been the most irresponsible of all. The way it’s always been and always will be.

But rarely has it been put into such tellingly dehumanizing terms than this last week when a Florida Representative termed women as the “host bodies” of a two-life dilemma:

Republican Florida State Rep. Jose Oliva has said he would support abortion legislation dictating a “cooling off period” to delay women—whom he described as the “host body”—from going through with the procedure, CBS Miami reports. “Well the challenge there is that there are two lives involved,” said Oliva, who will hold speakership when the legislature goes into session next week.

“So, where I believe that we should stay out of people’s lives, I don’t believe that people’s lives should be taken. It’s a complex issue because one has to think, well there’s a host body and that host body has to have a certain amount of rights because at the end of the day it is that body that that carries this entire other body to term. But there is an additional life there….And the question that we have to ask ourselves is: What is the limit to which we are going to give one person complete power over the life of another?” Oliva said he would also require that women be given “information” that could sway their final decision.

He answered his own question regarding giving one life complete power over another by giving the embryo the entire say in the matter (if they outlaw abortion.) The “host body” has none.  We are also damn sick of the nomenclature, where Democrats are accused of “killing babies” when talking about embryos (most not even fetuses yet). Babies are the actual people that are born and would like 6 weeks with mom after that person is born and not four days before mom has to go back to work to help pay for daycare and all the other bills.

If women are the host bodies then men are the parasites, looking for a place to plant their seed. If one makes the parasite 50% responsible, as the “third life” in the equation, and we mean 50% responsible for everything, including childcare in off-hours, watch how fast abortion is codified within the Constitution AND how many fewer women seek an abortion.

He did later apologize. Nice lifeform.
