The fact that Elon Musk’s company Space X managed to put four non-astronauts into space (and they went deep into space, significantly further out than the Space Shuttle or the International Space Station) is nothing short of amazing and a testament to the fact that Musk is no normal guy.

Musk made a fortune building one of the most hated companies on Earth, Paypal, got out of it before it became what it is today, and reinvested the money in two new companies that seemed destined to fail any number of times.

He built Tesla and Space X. Not bad.

The man is capable of doing more. He dreams big and is an asset to the world, never mind the United States. He may eventually be richer than the United States. But with all that success comes a lot of responsibility and part of it is to keep out of politics. Our politics is so toxic right now that we need some of our most accomplished people to remain flexible and comfortable working with either party (MAGAs excepted).

Thus it was that he made a massive error on Sunday when he not only mocked President Biden but mocked him in a way that fits the current MAGA meme, one with no basis in reality, that Biden is out of it, feeble, incompetent, not running the country. Remarkably, Musk trotted out his variation of the “Sleepy Joe” trope in referencing one of the few people on earth with the brass bal… with the courage to match Musk. Biden ran as a centrist and then went hard left, the new FDR. And he damn sure did it on purpose.

Hey, Elon? None of us at this site is rich, but we do have some good advice. STFU.
