So, now Fox News’ standard evening lineup, including one of its two most popular shows really is busying itself dividing up the country between white people and… the rest of us, even us white people that identify ourselves as part of the human race, not the white race. Tucker must believe that we feel guilty or we wouldn’t hold such beliefs. Too bad he didn’t ask. Because we could all just tell him we feel “normal” and “unthreatened,” nothing more and nothing less.
Tucker is very threatened and has been talking up “the Great Replacement Theory” for some time, the idea that Democrats and especially people of color exist to “replace” white people from power in America, rather than, say, just wanting to “exist” as regular Americans who may or may not want to run for office, without “replacing” anyone by color, only priorities.
Now Tucker is threatened by the fact that we’re bringing American heroes back to America. These heroes are Afghans who risked their lives in order to help our troops (we will never know how many American lives these Afghans may have saved). Sen. Ben Sasse, quite sensibly and not a profile in courage, says we have a moral obligation to take these Afghans in. He wants us to honor our promise. This is Ben Sasse:
“First of all, a great nation is a nation that keeps its word. The American people need to understand who we’re talking about here. We’re talking about men and women who risk their lives to protect Americans. They fought hand-in-hand with our troops and we made promises to them,”
Sasse’s simple pledge to “do the right thing” (again, this isn’t some brave moral stand, only a commitment to do the right thing), has Tucker Carlson saying that Sasse is “the single guiltiest white man in America,” because Sasse hasn’t pledged to get every American out “first.”
Tucker is too smart to not know that his “theory” has two major problems. If all Americans are evacuated “first,” (Instead of mixed with American evacuees), who would be left to organize and evacuate the Afghans? No one, obviously, which is what Tucker wants. The second thing that Tucker ignores is that these Afghan people are already Americans. They put their lives on the line for this country. Can Tucker say the same? Of course, not. He’s making millions stirring up racism.
But he took it to another level by specifically calling out Sasse’s race as the issue. When we start openly dividing people by race, essentially calling Sasse a “race traitor,” and not by political party, ideas, or some other category besides one dictated by birth, we inch closer and closer to open Neo-Nazi identity on the Right. Very open.
