The withdrawal from Afghanistan got off to a terrible start. Since that start, the process has become much more efficient and it appears as though the United States will meet its deadline or come very close to it while getting the Afghan refugees who have earned the right to get out of the country.

Tragically, there was the bombing that took the lives of thirteen U.S. military members. The bombing itself, however, was not done by the Taliban. No, the bombing was done by members of ISIS. Remember that group? Trump essentially surrendered to ISIS in Syria, southern Turkey and Northern Iraq. That was Trump who gave ISIS their freedom to roam.

And yet all of this falls upon Joe Biden to the point that Maria Bartiromo believes this is disqualifying for office (Good thing she wasn’t around during 9-11). This morning, Bartiromo asked Kevin McCarthy:

“Will you lead drawing up articles of impeachment? Will you look at the 25th Amendment? What are your plans in terms of leadership as we are in this incredible moment of time?”

To his credit (somewhat), McCarthy refused to really engage the question:

“When we get beyond that point, we’re going to collect all the data and we have a constitutional responsibility to hold people accountable. And we will take it wherever the facts bring that forward. If that’s the case, we will move forward.”

If the Republicans regain the majority in the House in 2022, one can bet that Kabul will become the new Benghazi. It is stunning to us that Americans have been suffering losses in Afghanistan for 20 years and yet troubles that inevitably happen when getting out, and a horrific bombing that was somewhat predictable.

Donald Trump allowed 500,000 Americans to die here in America and led a riot on the Capitol in an attempt to overthrow democracy. But Maria wants Biden impeached and out on the 25th Amendment as if this would never happen under Trump.

We suppose it doesn’t matter that McCarthy doesn’t have the power to do either of the things Bartiromo’s asking about. Details.
