There are very few things more tiresome than the reflexive MAGA Fox need to place some blame for COVID’s status on Joe Biden. They simply have to do it and it’s hard, so very hard. But Peter Doocy wakes up every day convinced that this would be the day that he’d get the snappy “gotcha quote for Hannity tonight!” *Whisper voice… Peter is destined for… an anchor job in Grand Rapids if he keeps this up.

Peter wanted to know whether Biden has any responsibility for the vaccine worries because Biden had said you cannot trust Trump. Psaki somehow answered with words, and not tequila shots:

“I think it’s safe to say he still doesn’t trust Donald Trump. So that hasn’t changed. But he does trust scientists. He does trust data experts and he does trust the people leading the CDC, the FDA, which is the gold standard for the approval of vaccines.”

Doocy apparently cannot help himself:

“Yes, but at the time when Donald Trump was out there saying we’re going to have a vaccine in the next couple of weeks, next couple of months and Joe Biden is out there on the campaign trail saying don’t trust Donald Trump. Did that create any kind of vaccine hesitancy?”

FIRST: Let us say that “next couple of months” was said in April (at times) and second, “Don’t trust Donald Trump didn’t apply to year-end vaccine.

SECOND: We begin to wonder whether Psaki has priced bamboo blowguns to get into the White House security complex because she didn’t hold back at all: “I would note that at the time, just for context, the former president was also suggesting people inject versions of poison into their veins to cure Covid. So I think that’s a relevant point.”
