Apologies upfront if this column is a bit scattered, we’re a bit shattered and infuriated.
Presidents should feel an extra weight on their shoulders whenever they send troops anywhere. All but one has been acutely aware of the fact that he’s likely asking a family to go the rest of their lives having lost a loved one. We can think of only one president that wouldn’t give it a second thought. President Biden is the opposite, it consumes him.
During a briefing on the terrorist attack at the Kabul airport that claimed the lives of 13 service members and wounded 15, Biden observed a moment of silence.

Instead of joining humanity and saying something like, “I join in the president’s grief,” Nunes said; “My guess is it’s going to get a lot worse before it gets any better. Let’s just hope and pray that — because that’s about what we’re down to now, our hopes and prayers.” Is it just us or does one almost detect a tinge of hope in Nunes voice, like he hopes it gets worse for Biden and things don’t smooth out.
Regardless, we would like to retort to Rep. Nunes: FFFFFF YOU!!! You motherffff, wow. It is almost impossible to contain one’s anger. How often have we had to put up with a Republican, and “thoughts and prayers,” after yet another person took an assault rifle – a weapon of war, not hunting, not home protection, no target shooting, a weapon of war, designed to send a big, heavy, round, at three to four times the speed of regular firearms and put someone down, for good, even if hit in the upper leg. Putting down how many kids or Walmart shoppers, when we hear “thoughts and prayers.” But that’s too much when it comes to our troops!
“What you saw Biden do, that I’ve never seen a president do, a moment of silence with the press? I mean, what the hell is going on in this country?”
Maybe, we’ve never had a president as comfortable in his own skin? Maybe we’ve never had a president who has lost loved ones like Joe Biden? Maybe it has been needed for 100 years and Biden is the first to have run out of fcks to give at 78 years old and doesn’t care what you or anyone else thinks? This man actually prays every day. He goes to mass during the week. Here is a thing, instead of saying it’s all this or that, please tell us what is wrong with it!
Newsmax host Greg Kelly, who once commented on the late first dog Champ not looking real presidential said “It was totally bizarre.” Nunes then called Biden a “moron.” The summation is almost too perfect. Greg Kelly calling something someone else did “bizarre,” and Devin Nunes calling someone else a moron. God decided he had had enough, too, and ended things with divine perfection.
Jesus, these people.
