Maybe we’re supposed to apologize for continuing to pound the fact that the moment we saw Trump’s new statement yesterday, we put out an article calling it the most “chilling” he had uttered in months. It is subtle, but Pelosi, then Twitter, and now a real law enforcement man, former G-Man Andrew McCabe says on live television that Trump’s acting like a mob boss, he’s not only emphasizing the seriousness of his statements and threats, he is saying Trump is a mob boss.
Trump’s statement comes first, and we to McCabe’s response below:
The brave law enforcement officers who defended the Capitol & Congress on January 6th deserve our deep gratitude and full support.
Note for federal investigative agencies: the former president continues to use the same type of language he knows provoked violence in the past. pic.twitter.com/9LGbbZWRL2

McCabe made it plain as day when Jim Acosta asked:
“When the former president calls for justice against the officer who shot and killed Ashli Babbitt, who was climbing through a window that day as we all saw — how dangerous is that when you see the former president engaging in this rhetoric, saying ‘we know who you are’ and so on?”
And then McCabe, with all his background, simply looks into a camera on live television and says it with no “it is sort analogous to…” McCabe says we need to “face it.”
“It is incredibly dangerous, Jim,” said McCabe. “We know this for a fact. It is not something we are theorizing about. We have seen before the impact that the president’s words have on his most die-hard and emotional supporters. We have seen — we have seen an attempted bombing plot, right, by a domestic extremist who was arrested some years ago who said he was following the directions of President Trump. We all saw the insurrectionists on January 6th acting what many of them had said, they thought they were following his direction.”
“Let’s face it,” said McCabe. “When he says ‘we know who you are,’ that is a threat. That’s the same sort of language that a mob boss or a drug kingpin would use to threaten a subordinate.”
The most chilling statement we had read in months and it is becoming accepted as such, now people will begin acting on it – on both sides. That’s what Trump does. It is also what law enforcement does, prepares.
