Michael Bender’s new book, Frankly, We Did Win the Election, has already been a sickening look behind the scenes at the White House. We all knew it was bad, but it’s sort of a version of the old sausage-making cliche about never see it being made. Well, we hated the sausage the administration force-fed. But seeing it being made, hearing what happened behind the scenes? Well, it makes us even more nauseous now. But we’re grateful that we even made it through.

The book reveals serious details, those that impact the country’s stability and how those decisions were made in the Trump White House. (A decision to bomb an Iranian leader to please Republican senators before the first impeachment). But some of the less serious, but just as revealing, tidbits are hard to fathom.

We all recall hearing about the night when the protests outside the White House became so large, intense, and unpredictable, that Trump was rushed down to the White House security bunker.

The media, along with independents and democrats had a fairly good time talking about a situation in which Trump looked “weak” and fearful, even though the world’s most elite security force stood between the protesters and the White House.

Trump hates looking weak and is never, ever, afraid. Understand?

“Treason”? And the death penalty? For simply leaking something that wasn’t even illegal, didn’t hurt the interests of the United States, just decisions within the White House, ones that possibly make Trump look “weak”?

In all honesty (because we don’t know), it likely was the Secret Service that rushed him down there initially, though it’s possible he asked, and then he admits he stayed there. But that is not the point. The point is that simply releasing that he hid in a bunker made him look like a scaredy-cat, a guy that can’t take the pressure, someone who is cowardly.

And he was so angry about it he even said that whoever leaked it should be charged with treason, and get the death penalty. Because Trump looked “weak.”
