There are so many memes, word plays, jokes, just yearning to leap out of this post, everything being bigger in Texas and all, hopefully, that includes the holding cells, maybe they can get a family rate?
Yep. According to Baller Alert, an entire Texas family (or a very large segment) is about to go through some things.
Officials looked at Facebook and uncovered posts from the family patriarch Thomas “Tom” Munn, in which he called on people to visit the Capitol building on Jan. 6th as former President Trump had instructed.
The Justice Department said that Munn had used social media to encourage people to travel to DC in the weeks before the riot. In a Facebook post from December, Tom Munn wrote, “Our President has only asked two things from us, so far… #1 Vote #2 January 6, 2021.” In another post, he wrote, “The time has come!”
These people – the rioters – truly believed that they were going to change history. They truly believed that the election had been stolen from Trump (even though Michael Wolff told us that “100%” of the White House, including the Trump family, knew he lost, only Trump actually believed it was stolen). They really were going there to fight for a second term.
It is frightening. Thankfully, Trump is a coward. If Trump had been a Castro, or a Saddam, we might have had an actual military battle.
Authorities believe Munn, his spouse, Dawn, and their three children Kristi, Josh, and Kay, drove from Texas to DC the day before the riot to help “Stop the Steal.”
Investigators also received tips about posts on Kristi’s Facebook page that showed her and other family members posing for a photo in camouflage outfits. The caption of the photo said: “Washington D.C., here we come !!! #StopTheSteal #TrumpisMyPresident.”
And then the punchline, there was actually a sixth family member that was not charged… due to being a minor. What a sad story, at least with respect to the child. The rest of them deserve whatever they get.
Here’s the truck and trailer they drove to DC:
