If there was ever a time when major announcements needed to be made regarding the investigation into Trump’s post-election activities, it is now. Fortunately, we got some help on that end today in the form of personal notes taken during a phone call with Trump into the acting attorney generals office:

Trump basically said: “Just say it was corrupt and leave the rest to me”

That sounds like a man who isn’t the least bit concerned whether there was corruption or not. He simply needed it to be said, once it was said, Trump and Congress would handle it. It almost sounds familiar, doesn’t it? With Ukraine, Trump didn’t ask for an actual investigation, he only wanted the investigation announced. From there, Trump could take it and run.

So we need more and more undeniable evidence that Trump invented this corruption in his head, and he’d take care of it (January 6th?). We need it because the number of Republicans who believe that Democrats stole the election is actually increasing. Now 80% of the GOP thinks the election was stolen. From Daily Kos:

But new Daily Kos/Civiqs polling finds an even more eye-popping number: 80% of GOP voters “agree with former President Donald Trump’s claim that the 2020 presidential election was stolen from him.” Among the broader electorate, 39% say the election was stolen, while 55% say it was not.

Should Kamala Harris Run for President in 2028?

Line up ten Americans and four say the election was stolen. That sounds frighteningly close to half to us and that would truly bring the two Americas in direct opposition. One side believes that they either win elections or they are rigged. This is the recipe to wipe democracy right off the map. It isn’t even the number so much as the fact that it’s growing.

As we said, if there was ever a time when investigators needed to unload undeniable evidence, it would be now.
