First of all, it is highly ironic that when criminal charges are filed against the Trumps, only then does this country start to look like a fascist state with a dictatorial leader. Each one of them – and Don Jr., especially – seems to have selective memory about the last administration and the loyalty purges, the “I need a favor, though,” the pardons and commutations for all those who kept their mouths shut, calling people who testified “snitches,” firing employees who reported abuses, asking states to “find” votes for him, then inciting an attempted coup upon the Capitol. Those are the hallmarks of a fascist country.

Trump wanted to leave that country to our kids.

But Don Junior doesn’t see it quite that way. To Junior, this country is spiraling down the drain and the proof is that the Trumps are in trouble. According to a more than ten-minute crazed rant (He doesn’t look good at all), Junior sees this as the end, or at least the end of his inheritance:

“How is this, anything but a political persecution? How is this anything other than a government abuse of power. Let’s break it down for you. They’ve been doing this for about five years, hundreds of witnesses presumably countless hours of grand jury testimony 3 million documents reviewed by the AG and the DA, right? 3 million documents, what they’ve got someone on his, he didn’t pay taxes on fringe benefits

Almost none of the above is true. “Hundreds of witnesses?” Come on, Junior, seriously?

“Yeah, that’s all it is, man. It’s a game, and it sucks, because this isn’t what America is about. This is what Russia does. This is what Iran does. This is what China does, but it’s happening right here right now. And so many people are totally silent about it, which also sucks, but we’re gonna keep fighting, because we have to, because it’s worth fighting for.

“And we can’t let this crap take over America, or we won’t have an America that any of us recognize for our kids.”

Ironically, Junior was describing life under the Trump administration, controlling what people say, ignoring the laws, foreign policy riding on personal favors, pardons handed out as favors, milking money off the government… Thankfully, the voters saved this country from sliding into becoming a China or Russia. Indeed, it often seemed that dear old dad held Russia up as the role model.
