It is almost – almost – becoming boring, having to slam Peter Doocy for being such a dunce on a daily basis. So, we cannot possibly understand how Jen Psaki maintains her sanity. But she most certainly does and she used every neuron in that sharp brain of hers to let Doocy know that he was heading down the wrong “track” again.
Peter probably thought he was being quite clever.
Like everyone on Fox, Peter wanted to talk about the legislators from Texas who left the state and went to Washington D.C., in order to prevent a draconian vote on a statute that would make voting even harder in Texas (it is already one of the tightest states in which to vote). Doocy must have thought he had a great set-up in talking about Amtrack-Joe “jumping on a train” out of DC to avoid a tough vote:
“Do you know of any examples from his 36 years in the Senate that Joe Biden just hopped on a train and left town to avoid a vote that he knew he was going to lose?”
Doocy must have been on vacation or something because Psaki first noted, very wryly, “Welcome back.”
She explained why Biden supported the legislators when Doocy cut in again: “Maybe it’s funny to think about it that way…”
And up with that, Psaki would not put. She cut him off and said:
“I don’t think anything about this is funny. I think what is important to note though here is that there are 28 states, including Texas, where there are laws in place or in process to make it harder to vote and it requires bold action, it requires bold voices to speak out against that and make sure people understand their rights.”
We don’t find it funny, either.
