Since he was deplatformed by key social media sites after inciting the violent Jan. 6 insurgency, former President Donald Trump issued a message, which is spreading on Twitter.
“1776, not 1619!” declares the twice-impeached one-term president. That’s all there is to it.
Trump is clearly referencing the New York Times’ “1619 Project,” which “aims to reframe the country’s history by placing the consequences of slavery and the contributions of Black Americans at the very center of our national narrative.”
In a recent op-ed for RealClearPolitics, Trump addressed critical race theory.
“Students are being subjected to a new curriculum designed to brainwash them,” Trump claimed, calling critical race theory “twisted” and “completely antithetical to everything that normal Americans of any color would wish to teach their children.”
As Forbes reported, “In reality, few American classrooms teach “critical race theory” as it was originally conceived, but that hasn’t stopped Republicans, including Trump, from using it as a catchall phrase to describe any attempt to teach students about systemic racism.”
Over the weekend, Trump ripped at critical race theory at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC).

He's continually trying to remain relevant, but his mental state proves that he's not of sound mind.
