If you recall, Donald Trump Jr.’s girlfriend Kimberly Guilfoyle was recently accused of sexual harassment by her former Fox News assistant, who claimed she was subjected to humiliating, abusive, and sexually inappropriate behavior on a regular basis by her then-boss.
We don’t know what happened to the charges, but reports claim that Fox News paid a heinous amount of money to hush up the issue. However, it appears that the old adage “birds of a feather flock together” still holds true, even after news of the claims broke.
Former Missouri Governor Eric Greitens, who is currently running for Senate, recently revealed that Kimberly Guilfoyle, Don Jr.’s major squeeze, will be joining the team as their national chairwoman.
“Kimberly Guilfoyle is a former prosecutor and Fox News host who most recently served President Donald J. Trump as the National Chair of Trump Victory Finance Committee — the organization responsible for raising hundreds of millions of dollars in support of the President and his America First agenda,” the campaign’s statement reads.
Guilfoyle stated in the statement that she is “proud to join this team as the National Chair and look forward to championing Governor Greitens’ vision throughout Missouri and around the country.”
At first look, this development does not appear to be all that remarkable. As Donald Trump’s reign of terror drew to a conclusion, we expected members of his inner circle to spread out into other areas of Republican politics.
What makes this specific move, though, rather… Interesting, I suppose you might say… Is the fact that Kimberly Guilfoyle and Eric Greitens have both been accused of sexual harassment and assault.
As previously mentioned, Guilfoyle was accused of inappropriate behavior with her assistant a few years ago, and Greitens was involved in a scandal in 2016 when he was accused of photographing a woman he was involved with while she was naked and then using those photos to force her to keep quiet about the affair.
The woman, who was clearly not Greiten’s wife, later testified that the affair was not always consensual. She claimed that the previous governor forced her to have oral sex with him before allowing her to depart.
Prosecutors eventually withdrew the allegations against Greitens in 2018, citing a lack of sufficient evidence.
