We could write three entire columns on how wonderful it is to see a woman like Katie Porter becoming a Congressional superstar.

The MAGAs have Karen Boebert and Marjorie Taylor-Greene, we Democrats have Katie Porter, among many many other strong, wonderful, and sensitive women.

In case one isn’t familiar with Congress on a day-to-day basis, Rep. Porter is a younger woman who likes to use extremely simple but also very elegant charts to put questions to the witness.

She is what one would expect if you combined the world’s best mother, law professor, social worker, and major general. She is so smart it’s stupid. She stuck out mightily at Harvard law with her intelligence, falling under Sen. Elizabeth Warren’s greatness, and has not slowed down.

Such a kind, hard-working, fierce defender of justice, and progressive representative in Congress deserves the absolute best that the MAGAs have to offer as an opponent, a real pro, someone who embodies all things “MAGA,” every bit as much as what we aspire in finding women like Katie Porter.

Meet Nick Taurus, from C&L:

Katie Porter’s town hall was disrupted by a new challenger who is emblematic of today’s Republican party — fascist, vocal, and violent. Nick Taurus is a special kind of fascist who trained for his current crusade in hard-right Hungary. A self-professed American nationalist and Roman Catholic, he used hard-right brownshirt tactics to interrupt a family event and town hall meeting.

Very promising, tell us more.

Taurus was so disruptive he caused fights at a town hall event on Sunday Porter had structured as a family event. Children were with their parents in the park, according to the Los Angeles Times.

And, surely there’s even more?

Taurus led a chant at one point of “America first! America first!” before asking members of the audience if they were from America, according to the Times.

Later, Taurus posted video, along with this gem on his Instagram: “Porter Supporters are deranged, dysgenic, freaks, TOTAL ANIMALS! We will not cower from the globalists, even when outnumbered.”

We knew they could do it!! They just had to really commit! In the same way that Katie Porter is such a beautiful soul, using all those gifts, with the energy of a young woman, for good for everyone, Republicans included.

They found “Nick.” And Nick is every bit as “perfect” in a MAGA sort of way. Bravo, MAGAs. Bravo!

And, a big thank you to Rep. Porter, for all your dedicated service and the example you’re setting for the next generation of young women, our girls.
