It is critical that independents and those of us on the left keep a wary eye on control of the Republican party. The Cold Civil War beats on and one must keep abreast of the Right’s direction.

The clash for supremacy in the Republican party (MAGA-GOP) got a lot hotter Wednesday night when Trump put out a statement that even Mitch McConnell, famously immune to criticism, simply cannot ignore. In this fight, Trump has the voters, McConnell has the political power. Both sides know it.

As always, when Trump is angry, he calls his opponent “weak” (the worst thing one can be in Trump world), an opponent is “weak” even if he just kicked Trump’s ass. Trump called McConnell weak, but more ironically, the man who spent months talking about Georgia and Arizona being rigged, blamed McConnell for the Senate losses in Georgia. In short, everything is McConnell’s fault and this is all coming to a head now that the Senate is close to a bipartisan agreement on infrastructure.

It is an issue that sends Trump ass over golf cart because Trump talked about “infrastructure week” his entire term and never got it done. Joe Biden looks to be doing it.

Trump lied and accused McConnell of “giving Democrats everything they want and getting nothing in return, and shifted right into spreading the blame to “RINOS’ (anyone not loyal to Trump) for ruining America, “right alongside Communist Democrats.” No one has ever met a communist Democrat, but that hardly matters to Trump! Everyone gets “branded:”

Under the weak leadership of Mitch McConnell, Senate Republicans continue to lose. He lost Arizona, he lost Georgia, he ignored Election Fraud and he doesn’t fight. Now he’s giving Democrats everything they want and getting nothing in return. No deal is better than a bad deal. Fight for America, not for special interests and Radical Democrats. RINOs are ruining America, right alongside Communist Democrats.

In other words, “Don’t make a deal that I couldn’t make.”

It is entertaining seeing Trump – the former president, the purported head of the party, blame someone else for the loses taken in November 2020, all the while whining that McConnell was too “weak” to attempt a coup.

Actually, it is always entertaining to see Trump angry. Perhaps it is not so entertaining to Mitch McConnell, but we truly couldn’t care less how McConnell feels about much of anything. We continue to watch with interest, not so much for entertainment, but to gauge the direction of the Right in America.
