Well, this is upsetting.

Former Guy Donald Trump stirred up vaccine opposition on Sunday, even linking it to his false claims about the 2020 election. Which is insane. Because remember that Trump got the vaccine, as did his wife. But of course he didn’t get it on camera, because Trump wants his cake and to eat it too.

There has been significant focus on Trump supporters either being hesitant to get vaccines or outright refusing to, even though the vaccines were developed under Operation Warp Speed during his administration.

In his statement Sunday, Trump said, “Joe Biden kept talking about how good of a job he’s doing on the distribution of the Vaccine that was developed by Operation Warp Speed or, quite simply, the Trump Administration. He’s not doing well at all. He’s way behind schedule.”

The former president then went on to say that people “are refusing to take the Vaccine because they don’t trust his Administration, they don’t trust the Election results, and they certainly don’t trust the Fake News, which is refusing to tell the Truth.”

Trump has made a couple of comments saying people should get vaccinated, but most of his recent public statements have just repeated his usual baseless claims and conspiracies about the election.

He has referenced the vaccines in several recent statements, but has not prioritized actively encouraging his hesitant supporters to actually get vaccinated. Just further proof that Trump doesn’t care one iota for his supporters…he only cares what they can do for him.
